The Yoga Teacher's Guide to Traditional Chinese Medicine

8 HOURS

DURATION: AUGUST 15 & 16, 2026 12-4PM

INVESTMENT: $125

August 15 & 16 | 12:00–4:00 PM
8 Hours Total (Two 4-Hour Sessions)

Expand your understanding of the body beyond muscles and bones by exploring the ancient wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Designed specifically for yoga teachers and dedicated practitioners, this immersive module introduces the foundational principles of TCM and examines how energetic anatomy can enrich the way we practice, sequence, and teach yoga.

Led by Alyssa Trebilcock, L.Ac., a licensed acupuncturist and founder of Harbor Acupuncture & Wellness, this module blends traditional Chinese medicine with a modern, accessible approach to movement and wellness. Alyssa brings years of clinical experience helping individuals restore balance through acupuncture, herbal medicine, and holistic care, making complex TCM concepts approachable and practical for yoga teachers.

Together, we'll explore concepts such as Yin & Yang, the Five Elements, Qi, and the meridian system while discovering how these teachings offer a holistic perspective on movement, balance, and wellbeing. You'll also learn how seasonal rhythms, energetic patterns, and simple acupressure techniques can thoughtfully support your students while remaining within a yoga teacher's scope of practice.

Whether you're looking to deepen your personal practice, create more intentional class experiences, or expand your understanding of Eastern healing philosophies, this module offers practical tools and timeless wisdom that will transform the way you see the body and hold space for others.

Perfect for curious students, yoga teachers seeking continuing education (8 CEUs), and those working toward their RYT-500 certification.
