The Art of Curating a Yoga Playlist

HOURS: 4

DURATION: MAY 30th | 12-4pm

INVESTMENT: $68

Music has the ability to shape the experience of a yoga class in subtle but powerful ways. When chosen thoughtfully, it can support the rhythm of breath, guide movement, build energy, and create space for rest and integration.
In this module, teachers will explore how to curate playlists that support the arc of a yoga class, allowing music to enhance the natural progression of a practice. Beginning with an experiential class, participants will feel how music can support different phases of a class—from grounding and warming the body, to building heat and strength, to flowing movement carried by the breath, and eventually settling into stillness.
Following the practice, we will explore how elements such as tempo, rhythm, instrumentation, and silence influence the atmosphere and energetic flow of a class. Teachers will learn how to select and organize music in a way that feels intentional and supportive for their students.
By the end of this module, you may find yourself listening to music in an entirely new way, noticing rhythm, energy, and mood through the lens of the yoga practice.
