Soul Yoga Ohio City Basics
This is a flagship workshop of Soul Yoga, with the first one being kicked off by Christina Carroll on June 25. This two hour yoga basics workshop is an opportunity to explore fundamentals of yoga as the physical practice.
Basics include:
Standard poses
Alignment
Vinyasa yoga sequences
What to Expect
Come prepared to experience a safe and accepting space for students at all different levels. Our goal is for students to leave with a thorough and comfortable understanding of the basics of the physical practice of yoga. So we encourage questions and discussion to ensure that’s what you’re getting.
Hands on assists are optional. You can indicate your preference by using the magnet of your soul space. Modifications are provided for those with injury or specific needs.
Who Should Attend
Everyone! This class is great if you’re just starting out in your yoga practice, but is also a recommended workshop for the seasoned yogi. The curriculum focuses on yoga anatomy and basics that will help you:
Practice safely
Improve alignment
Modify to individual needs
Develop body awareness
Enhance teaching skills
What Should I Bring
A willingness and open-mind to learn the yoga fundamentals, deepen your practice, and be part of a beautiful, inclusive community.
Also, don’t forget to bring your mat and a water bottle along with any personal props to make yourself comfortable. Towels are complimentary and mats are available for $2 rental.
